Tetherball

It's a lazy Sunday. The perfect breeze is blowing outside. The sun is up. The kids are bored, and so are you. Everyone is craving to do something to pass time. Well, do you have a tetherball set handy It can give you precious minutes of fun and exercise.

Tetherball is easy to play, requiring only a small circle in your backyard approximately 20 feet in diameter. A rope attaches a ball to a pole in the center of the circle. Two players stand opposite each other, with the pole in their center. Both players then strive to hit the ball any which way, aiming to wind the rope completely around the pole in the direction they chose. Four wins out of seven decides the game.

Tetherball sets are then understandably fun to have around the house. They usually come with a ground sleeve which makes the pole stay put; these ground sleeves usually measure 1 foot, enough length to dig into the ground for stability. The pole is made of galvanized steel and measures about ten feet long.

A tetherball with a rope attached also comes with the set. At the tip of the pole, the free end of the rope is fastened using a clip.
